midweek music: “Cross-Eyed Mary”

Jethro Tull has been my favorite band since I was a little kid. Both my parents and my aunt Monica played them a lot, and I fell hard for their delightful mix of styles.

Here’s their third-most-popular song (after “Aqualung” and “Locomotive Breath”), “Cross-Eyed Mary,” both the original off the Aqualung album and live in 1977, along with a bonus cover by Iron Maiden.
