- Illinois: yes, many times, including in 2010 for the very first C2E2
- Indiana: yes, just a couple weeks ago for Indy PopCon
- Kentucky: yes, a couple times, including in 2018 when I was Author Guest of Honor for ConGlomeration
- Iowa: yes, when I was four years old and we drove from New York to Denver
- Louisiana: yes, several times, most recently a trip to New Orleans in 2001
