KRAD COVID readings #17-18: “Arms and the Man” and “Materfamilias”

I once again forgot to upload this when I posted #17, so here’s a two-fer: The latest KRAD COVID readings are me reading a very old story and a brand-new one.

#17 is me reading my 1997 Spider-Man story “Arms and the Man” from the Untold Tales of Spider-Man anthology we did to tie into the Kurt Busiek-written comic book — to that end, the editors on the antho were Kurt and the late great Stan Lee (who edited or co-edited all our Marvel anthologies). The story is about a writer who wants to write the definitive life story of Dr. Otto Octavius, a.k.a. Doctor Octopus, and gets more than he bargained for.

#18 is the first one of these that hasn’t been published yet, though that will change soon enough — I read “Materfamilias,” my story for Mary Fan’s Bad Ass Moms anthology, which will be out this summer from Crazy 8 Press. It takes place in the same oeuvre as my Adventures of Bram Gold, but with a different Courser character, Yolanda Rodriguez.
