KRAD COVID reading #51: “Getting the Chair”

After a Hurricane Isaias-induced hiatus, the KRAD COVID readings are back! This time I read my first work of short fiction in the Dragon Precinct setting, in a story called “Getting the Chair,” which came out in 2004 the same month as that first novel in the anthology Murder by Magic, edited by Rosemary Edghill. Danthres and Torin investigate the death of a wizard who animates furniture, but the chair, the lantern, and the couch each tell a different story. Who’s lying? And why would furniture lie?
