One of my absolute favorite songs, by Cat Stevens, who these days simply goes by Yusuf. Simply an amazing piece with some stellar acoustic guitar work and amazing keyboards.

I love this song.
Here’s what I often think of when I hear this song:
I was the program director of my college radio station, and at the time (late 70s, early 80s) we were trying to find our niche so we weren’t just like every other station in Richmond. We sent out people to the campus to ask their opinions, and one person was being interviewed in the school cafeteria where our station was piped in. “I’m sick of all this punk and new wave music you’re always playing,” the person said, “like this one!” “Angelsea” was what I was playing at the time.
So we learned to ignore what the public wanted.
