new from Modiphius: Star Trek Adventures: Klingon Empire Core Rulebook with stuff by me!

KlingonEmpireSourcebook

As announced today on StarTrek.com, Modiphius has released their latest Star Trek Adventures core rulebook: The Klingon Empire. This enables you to play a Klingon ship in the role-playing game, and the book is available for print preorder and immediate digital download.

Among the contributors to this rulebook are fellow Trek fictioneers Dayton Ward (author of Hidden Universe Travel Guide: The Klingon Empire and In the Name of Honor) and Dr. Lawrence Schoen (head of the Klingon Language Institute), as well as Derek Tyler Attico, Christopher L. Bennett, Kelli Fitzpatrick, Scott Pearson — and me!

I wrote a ton of Klingon history and background information, as well as listings of major and minor Houses in the Empire, and several of the sidebars.

If you want to learn more about the game, there’s a virtual “Day of Honor” online event on Saturday the 11th of July, which will include a one-hour panel at 3:15pm Eastern time with some folks from Modiphius, including myself and Jim Johnson, who was in charge of putting the rulebook together, and some other folks, plus special guest Rick Sternbach.

This is my first new Trek fiction work since The Klingon Art of War six years ago, and I’m thrilled to finally be able to talk about it.
